What started in June 2011 as Jeremy’s Game, a celebration of the life of Jeremy Bannon who was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident in March 2011, has grown into the Hockey Fights Hunger campaign. This year on June 9, 2018 at 5:50 PM a fundraiser will be held at SkateNation Plus to help put an end to hunger. Over the last five years this event saw thousands of fans and supporters attend the games and events helping to feed those in need. Come see NHL, AHL and many pro players in Richmond.
Imagine struggling to put food on the table. Everyday making the tough choice about whether or not to eat, choose cheaper less nutritious food, pay a bill or even your rent/mortgage. That is the situation for nearly 9 million Americans each and every day.
That’s why Hockey Fights Hunger is working to provide food to local food banks, enrolling adults in critical government programs that help provide nutritious meals and identifying long-term solutions that will help end this solvable problem. We believe seniors should have a better choice. And with your help it does not have to be this way. By donating today you can help leave hunger in the dust. Donations to Hockey Fights Hunger benefit the hunger solutions.
